I spend a lot of time at either the cinema or theatre. You will then find reviews from these films and shows!

Sky Cinema!

This is a very exciting change from Sky Movies and I absolutely love the way they have decided to go. From 8th July Sky Movies is going to be replaced by Sky Cinema, which means instead of waiting for new film Premiere’s on a Friday, we are going to have a new film Premiere every day!

Not only that though they are reducing the amount of time it takes for a film to leave the actual Cinema and then come to Sky this is going to be 8 months. I certainly think this is a very positive move from Sky especially with how popular Netflix and Amazon Prime have become.

As well as improving the quality of HD along with better sound . . . Although does a lot of that not relate to the quality of your TV?

They are still going to have 11 channels set up with a promise of more films available On Demand as well as more Movie Collections.

Surely anything that is going to have more films is perfect for someone who does a film blog? I am certainly excited to find out about this positive change/rebrand.

  1. It’s certainly exciting having so many new films! I hope their tech improvements apply to Now TV too, because having used Netflix and Amazon Prime then gone back to Now TV/Sky Movies, the picture quality is noticeably inferior.

One of the things they are promising is improved HD, so fingers crossed it is better when launched.
