Today is my 24th Birthday so I decided to make a top 10 list of birthday scenes from the movies. All different types of scenes with some brilliant ideas of what to do and what not to do on your birthday. I can relate to some of these and could possibly relate to even more of them after this birthday as well!
I have just returned from a midnight showing of the second part of the deathly hallows, that being the final Potter film in the franchise. We pick up straight away from where we were left off at the end of part one, and reminded how Voldemort took the Elder Wand from Dumbledore’s grave.
The 6th year at Hogwarts and everything is becoming darker as we begin to find out about Lord Voldemort’s past. Harry finds a potions book with ‘the half-blood prince’ written in. A favorite character is killed . . .
After the return of Lord Voldemort at the end of the Goblet of Fire. We are wondering how the wizarding world are going to react to it all. Well the answer to that is badly, as the minister of magic tries to claim that Dumbledore and Harry are making it all up. But we all know that is not the case . . .
The fourth year at Hogwarts see’s the tri-wizard tournament take place, meaning two other wizarding schools come for a year. Some twists and turns see the usual tri-tournament having a fourth competitor in an underaged wizard taking part and yes you guessed it, Harry Potter is that wizard.
The Harry Potter film series has done wonders for the British film industry over the years and also been able to showcase so many talents in the films as well. We certainly do see the best of British in the series. Some with big parts throughout all (or most) of the films. While others have smaller parts, or even just cameos. But they really have been such a credit for showcasing the talent which is on offer in Britain. A lot of the actors and actress are held in high regard in the theatre world. Some of my favorite actors and actress have appeared in the film series which is so refreshing to see so many of them in the same films.
A lot of well-respected actors appear in the films bringing life to the much-loved characters from the books.
Alan Rickman – Severus Snape
A very well-loved actor who always seems to be the bad guy. But is he always the bad guy in the Potter series? Well that’s the difficult thing to figure out. One minute you love Snape and the next you hate him, you love to hate him and I don’t think anyone but Rickman could have you thinking that about a character.
We head back to Hogwarts for second year. Although something or someone is trying to stop Harry from getting back. He receives no letters from Ron or Hermione over the summer, then cannot get through the barrier at King’s Cross to get on the Hogwarts express. But what is he being warned against?
Harry Potter (Radcliffe) is a legend in the Wizarding world, yet he had no idea he was a Wizard until his eleventh birthday when Hagrid (Coltrane) turns up after problems with his Hogwarts letter.
The first part of the final Harry Potter film has been much talked about since, well since the book was out? Or since the last film, or maybe even both of those. I have to start by saying that I have never been the biggest fan of the Potter films, and I haven’t actually seen the last installment (Half Blood Prince). But anyway after seeing the trailer for this film I thought it looked a hell of a lot darker than the previous films. The continuing adventure, or as this film will be often referred to as the beginning of the end . . .
