An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) Review

Zack Mayo (Gere) has never had it easy in life, signing up at Navy Flight school doesn’t get any easy when he must deal with tough drill sergeant Foley (Gossett Jr.) and falling in love with Paula (Winger).
Random Movie Scene 2
For today’s random movie scene I have gone for a “Richard Gere Moment” in the finale of “Pretty Woman”. I do have to admit I hate the line “she rescues him right back”, I just think it sounds kinda wrong. But a great scene nevertheless one lovely ending.
Shall We Dance? (2004) Review

I had such an obsession with this film when it first came out and it developed having a Richard Gere obsession as well. Watching this for what could possibly be the millionth time last night and I still love it, even though its not one of the best films ever made. It has something special in it for me, I guess it was just the passion and confusing John Clark (Richard Gere) had when he decided to start dancing. The fact that Beverly his wife is played by Susan Sarandon who I just totally adore, and that it contains a Richard Gere Moment . . . along with some very funny moments and lines. Lets just say I find it a very easy film to just enjoy and get lost in with not much thinking required at all. Sometimes you just need that release and this is definitely a film that can give you that.

Pretty Woman (1990) Review

“Pretty Woman” has to be one of the best loved romantic comedies and possibly one of the films which started off the popularity to this genre of movies. It certainly put Julia Roberts level of fame on a whole new level. Who would think a story about a prostitute and wealthy business man would actually turn out to be so heart warming and sweet, with a lovely happy “hollywood” ending. But despite the never going to happen, don’t glorify being a prostitute arguments, I really do adore this film and defiantly is one of my favorites. I love Julia Roberts I really do think she is a fantastic actress, i’ve always been such a big fan of hers.
