Trailer: New Moon (2009)
So the second part of the Twilight Saga: New Moon (as it is being listed everywhere, Twilight Saga) . . . here is the official trailer for the movie.
This means that I now have 5 months to read New Moon . . .
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Movie – Twilight
Again no suprise at all here. All of the Twilight fans must have been out in force on the voting front over the past few weeks. Dont get me wrong while I have been posting these as I love Twilight. I loved the book more than the movie, but it was still good. I just think when you compare to the other nominations, such as “The Dark Knight” and even “Iron Man”. I bet HSM3 was second to Twilight.
But anyway I do enjoy these awards as it gives other movies and actors a chance to realise that they were found entertaining. When the Oscar noms and winners may not have brought in as many people to watch the movies.
I will definatly be posting some pictures tomorrow . . .
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Comedic Performance – Jim Carrey
YAY for Jim. I have always been a massive fan of his, and I am glad he won this award. I cannot really comment too much on the other nominees as I have not seen many of those performances.
While “Yes Man” was not the best it was very funny with a nice message attached to it. Kinda reminded me of “Click”.
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Female Performance – Kristen Stewart
Yep very predictable . . . another for Twilight.
Especially in a strong cateogry . . . I mean come on Kate won her Oscar for “The Reader”. But never mind eh ?
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Song – Miley Cyrus, The Climb
YAY for Miley and this song, as I really do find the lyrics inspirational and brilliant.
But I am sad because Bruce Springsteen was nominated for “The Wrestler” and I love that loads and loads. But still happy with the winner.
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Kiss – Twilight
Yep another award for Twilight. This time to both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. I bet it was quite a close one to call with Zac and Vanessa being nominated for HSM3.
I thought the kiss between James and Angelina for Wanted was very hot !!! But what about Sean Penn and James Franco, in “Milk” that was brilliant !!!
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Male Performance – Zac Efron
YAY for Zac *goes in search of pictures*
Yes I do for some strange reason get very fangirly over Zac he is just too pretty for words. He managed to beat out Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr, Vin Diesel and Shia LeBeouf . . . so well done to Zac. HSM3 !!!
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Male Breakthrough – Robert Pattinson
Totally not suprised by this at all, I did just say that Twilight would start to sweep up !!! Well done to Robert
I dont think there was any doubt that he wouldnt win this award, I bet Taylor Lautner was the closest to Robert. The whole Edward, Jacob thing going on haha.
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Fight – Twilight
I am going to predict that this is the start of the Twilight sweep of awards.
Looking at the other nominations, I would have gone for the fight between Batman and the Joker in “The Dark Knight”. Dont get me wrong I love Twilight and a bit of Edward Cullen aka Robert Pattinson but BATMAN !!!
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Best Villain – Heath Ledger
Another awards show and another rightly given award to the brilliant Heath Ledger, for his potrayal as the Joker in “The Dark Knight”. I love that this was voted for by the fans, everyone sees how incredible this performance is.
MTV Movie Awards 2009 – Breakthrough Performance Female – Ashley Tisdale
MTV Movie Awards are on going at this very moment.
Ashley Tisdale has picked up the award for breakthrough female performance, for her role in High School Musical 3.
Just looked through the other nominations, and I find this quite a surprise as it was a pretty tough category. With Amanda Seyfried from Mamma Mia! being nominated and Miley for Hannah Montana.
3000 Hits !!!
The blog now has over 3000 hits, in about 3 months.
I think that is pretty good going. I hope if people keep coming back to the blog that they are enjoying my reviews, the latest news, movie posters, and my lists of top 10′s and the current 100 sexiest actors posts.
News: Jolie Too Old For Tomb Raider
Awww I think thats a shame, as Angie is still HOT.
Angelina Jolie has been ditched by the producers of the Tomb Raider movies after they decided she’s now too old for the role.
The Hollywood beauty starred in the first two Tomb Raider films in 2001 and 2003, but movie bosses will replace the 33-year-old with a younger star for the next instalment.
Producer Dan Lin says, “We are rebooting Lara Croft. It’s a great story that we’re going to tell, very character-orientated and more realistic than the past movies. It is an origin tale so it’s going to be a younger Lara Croft.”
News: Keaton Still Bats For Batman Fans
Awww this is really cool !!! I love Batman !!!
Michael Keaton thrilled a young Batman fan with a visit to the set of his new film after spotting the kid sporting a homemade superhero costume.
Keaton took over directorial duties on the set of The Merry Gentleman when filmmaker Ron Lazzeretti’s appendix burst and had to give up the project.
The actor thrilled cast and crew with his personable nature – and showed it extended to fans too.
Co-star Tom Bastounes explains, “One day we were filming in a park and there was little boy there and he had a makeshift Batman outfit on. It wasn’t like a store-bought one. He made it at home.
“He had the pointy ears and the mask and he had a Batman symbol on his chest. Michael noticed him from across the street and walked over.
“Of course the mum noticed him right away and made a big fuss. The kid was about four or five. Michael signed the kid’s cape and signed something for the mum. Then he brought them both to the set and they watched some of the shoot. He’s very sweet that way.
“He’s very generous with his time but you still have these pinch me moments, where you suddenly realise, ‘Hey, I’m working with Batman.’”
Keaton played the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns films.
Hachiko: A Dog’s Story (2009) Poster
After the picture of the day containing Richard, and now coming across this poster for Hachiko: A Dog’s Story, I can really feel another dose of a Richard Gere phase. Which first occured about 5/6 years ago now, haha. So maybe I will have to search Netflix later and see which Richard filled movie I can watch

Movie Picture of the Day 18
I really should be doing this every day, keep forgetting about it !!! So it is back after more than a week of absense from the blog.
Today’s picture is from An Officer and A Gentleman . . . “more push ups” scene. Which I really love because you get to see Mayo’s dedication and how much that he really wants to succeed and that he will not quit at any cost.

Eddie (1996) Review

Eddie is a massive fan of the New York Knicks, with a big mouth and likes to make herself heard during games. She works as a limo driver and at first she does not realise that she picks up the new owner of the Knicks from the airport and drops him at his place.
Remember the Titans (2000) Review

This really does have to be one of the best American Football movies out there. Denzel is just fantastic as Coach Boone. He really did show all of the emotions that the coach would have went through so well throughout the movie. How hard he was on the players, being sick before the first game after finding out he would loose his job if he lost a game, how he used humour and how he battled against the racism. He really was the perfect choice for this role, having the authority in him and being able to just own the screen.
News: Cruise & Diaz To Play Lovers In Comedy
I like that they are going to be together again in a movie.
Vanilla Sky stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are set to reteam for moviemaker James Mangold’s upcoming action comedy.
Cruise is close to signing on for Wichita, in which he’ll play Diaz’s on/off lover – an international spy.
Sources tell Daily Variety the superstar and Diaz have approved the script, and their deals are in advanced negotiations.
News: Kidman Dismisses Baby Rumours
I dont think this really means that she is not pregnant.
Nicole Kidman has dismissed rumours she is pregnant for a second time.
The Australian actress, who has two adopted children with her ex Tom Cruise, was delighted to give birth to her first biological child Sunday Rose last year – her first with husband Keith Urban.
And in recent weeks the Oscar winner has been dogged by rumours she is pregnant again, with many Internet gossips speculating about a possible baby bump.
But a representative for Kidman has shot down the reports, telling New York Post gossip column PageSix, “(She is) not (pregnant) to my knowledge.”
News: Parker Inspires Co-star Nixon To Try Surrogacy
Awww I think this is really nice, yes I love SATC cast news, haha.
Expectant mum Sarah Jessica Parker has inspired her Sex And The City co-star Cynthia Nixon to have a surrogate child of her own.
Parker and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twins by a surrogate mother this summer, after failing to conceive a brother or sister for six-year-old son James Wilkie the natural way.
Friends claim Nixon, 43, is desperate to start a family with partner Christine Marioni, and is looking into surrogacy herself.
A pal tells the National Enquirer, “Cynthia realises at her age the odds of conceiving are slim.
“After a heart to heart with Sarah about the ins and outs of surrogacy and how it works, Cynthia and Christine decided it’s definitely a path worth pursuing. Sarah put Cynthia in touch with the agency she used. Now Cynthia and Christine are hoping for a baby in 2010.”
Nixon has two children from a past relationship.
News: Streep Inspired Ryder’s Happiness
I always like it when younger actors are helped out by their elders.
Winona Ryder vowed to cheer up on movie sets – after Meryl Streep taught her how to be happy and successful.
The actress, who suffered from depression following her split from Johnny Depp, realised she could combine her acting with a contented personal life after working with Streep on 1993′s The House of the Spirits.
And the experience helped her learn it wasn’t necessary for actors to be moody in order to give their best performance.
Ryder tells Elle UK, “I worked with Meryl Streep on The House of the Spirits. I always thought actors had to be really depressed or moody or anguished to be great, but she was completely fine and had her family and came to work and did an amazing job and she wasn’t that way.
“I remember that being a really big deal to me. And I was like, ‘Wow, I can actually be happy and be good at the same time!’”
